그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 사람은 정죄를 받지 않습니다.
그것은 그리스도 예수 안에서 생명을 주시는 성령의 법이
죄와 사망의 법에서 여러분을 해방시켰기 때문입니다.
율법이 죄의 본성 때문에 연약하여 할 수 없었던 것을,
하나님께서는 죄를 없애기 위해
자신의 아들을 죄 있는 사람의 모양으로 보내심으로써 행하셨습니다.
하나님께서는 죄인들 속에 거하고 있는 죄에 대해 유죄 판결을 내리셨습니다.
이렇게 하여 죄의 본성에 따라 살지 아니하고,
성령에 따라 살고 있는 우리에게
율법의 의로운 요구들이 완벽히 이루어졌습니다.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you
from the power of sin that leads to death.
The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature.
So God did what the law could not do.
He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have.
And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us
by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us,
who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
