그러므로 내가 다시 묻습니다.
이스라엘이 걸려 넘어져 완전히 망하고 말았습니까? 결코 그러지 않습니다.
오히려 그들의 죄 때문에 구원이 이방인들에게 이르게 되었고,
이스라엘은 이방인들을 보고 시기하게 되었습니다.
이스라엘의 범죄가 세상에 풍성한 복을 가져다 주었고
이스라엘의 실패가 이방인들에게 풍성한 복을 가져다 주었다면,
이스라엘 전체가 하나님 앞에 돌아올 때 그 풍성함은 얼마나 더 하겠습니까?
Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not!
They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles.
But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves.
Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation,
think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it.
